Thx for your feedback and perspective. My philosophy is it’s better to be natural than perfect. That’s why I didn’t redo the video. Much like Aikido, you do a technique imperfectly and just do it again. The next time may be better, or not. You may do it well two more times and then not. So it’s really a matter of perception and perspective.

John, I’m thrilled that you said I captured his style and energy. I had a ball making it. Brendon is a gifted teacher and I believe in his content, message and method of delivery. I.e. he’s congruent and true.

Love the parody. Having attended Brendon’s Expert’s Academy in 2010, I can appreciate the way you have captured his style and energy. Loved the messages falling all over you. The way he has given people the tools to accomplish their dreams is better than anyone I have seen. In the same way he has done that, you have captured the “sound bite” niche. Thanks for all you have done.

I came to your site through the Aikido interviews you made. I really enjoyed them. I was interested in the videos on your site until I came to the 5 Ms. I was disappointed that you posted a video with a mistake, actually two mistakes (I was ok with the first one, but then I heard that you were off on the counting. And two mistakes is too many). If it were a video about how to recover from mistakes, it would make sense, but as it is, it appears to lack professionalism. Its unfortunate because you really have some good stuff here but this type of thing can often alter people’s perception of your skills. I’d highly recommend that you redo this video. I hope my feedback doesn’t anger you. As a fellow Aikidoka, I just wanted to help.

Hi Susan,

I am finding your blogs very interesting. I especially retreated with the experience about the woman who kept mentioning her business, services, etc.

In all of my research, I have been told to keep mentioning my book and I must have had a hundred soundbites by now. Nothing has really worked.

I am intending to invest in your Oprah/Media kit, but how does a new author and Independent Advocate break into the industry and get noticed on a fixed income. I have been very wise and disciplined with my dollars and I have just began doing local book signings on a shoe-string budget.

I am willing to learn and I look forward to your tips, too. My message is to raise awareness about mental illness in the African-American community especially, but I want a diverse audience.

I am an individual diagnosed with Bipolar who was doctors told my family my mind was so far gone, that they should commit me to a mental institution and move on with their lives. I fought to win my sanity back and it all began with a mustard seed of faith.

Thank you for sharing and I look forward to learning all I can.

I really enjoyed your article, which I received by email, and the topic is really interesting. I had experienced this technique several years ago in the UK and wondered if it had ever been formalized by anyone. It is good to see it has, it looks extremely interesting, and I look forward to seeing this being taken up by many more people. The person who introduced me to this was Sir Gordon Reece, when he was still an adviser to Baroness Thatcher while she was Prime Minister. He had worked with her on this technique while she was developing her whole persona as Prime Minister.
