I was just reading an article titled “Tyra Banks On It” about the Tyra Banks top-rated reality show, America’s Next Top Model overtaking the Oprah Show in ratings (not!) in the July issue of Forbes Magazine. She said viewers loved seeing her eyes bugging out shouting at the model wannabes who had no idea what it took to reach super model status. Apparently aggressiveness sells. Who loves Simon on American Idol? Everyone. Bill O’Reilly makes his living making his guests feel small.
Come on. Who wants to smell like Paris Hilton? Not me. But there must be people who want to embody the so-called Paris ideal. It goes to show you that when the public admires someone they want a piece of him/her and what’s more intimate than smell?
A few years back a woman in Los Angeles was famous for being famous. Her picture was plastered on all the billboards. Now, TV has become the billboard for becoming famous for lack of talent.
