By Guest Blogger Colin Martin It’s important to write in the same voice as you speak in. Not necessarily in slang, but in the relaxed, personal tone of conversation. Often, web content reads like a scientific equipment brochure or a Harvard dissertation. Leave the big words and the information overload to the corporate boardrooms, and [...]
In almost every field, there are people who are extremely good at getting publicity. You’ve seen them, you recognize that they have “it”. The media loves them and they’re regularly on radio/TV shows and written-up in print publications. They not only know how to get a huge amount of free coverage, but also how to [...]

Conrad is the MTV reality star of “The Hills” who is scuttling to build a brand around her image. So far, not many people are buying her credibility or her products.
1. Use a General Bio. Soundbiting starts even before you appear on a TV or radio show. Your bio is the first introduction to you and it’s your first soundbite–even though you’re not the one to say it. Most people leave this introduction up to the TV or radio host and that’s their first mistake. [...]
Vanessa Hudgens, star of “High School Musical” evidently thought so. In the past few weeks she has topped the search engine searches with over 10,060 queries. Before she bared her body her name was only searched on 350 times in a typical 48 hours.
