Meet Media Training Expert Susan Harrow

I was born to a gypsy mother who read people's futures on their faces. I inherited my mother's gift for seeing what is most important in a person.
My father was a marionette maker who taught me to go through life with no strings attached.
I use my own life, which abounds with contradictions, to help others make sense of theirs for the media.
I've lived the life of a celibate monk, a wild woman, a vegetarian, a carnivore, an au pair in Paris, an English teacher, a tennis pro, a jewelry designer, a sales rep, a publicist, a martial artist, media training expert and marketing strategist, and am constantly discovering new roles to try.
I was almost sold into slavery to a Bedouin Sheik in Israel for 10 camels and a mule, chased by elephants in Africa, loved by the leader of the Anarchist party in Italy, narrowly escaped drowning while rafting down the Zambezi river in class five rapids, recruited by the CIA but decided I didn't want to leap tall buildings in Bolivia in a single bound, and so elected to teach English at Mission High School in San Francisco, instead.
On my first day of teaching I saved a student from being knifed in the hallway, and miraculously escaped my tenure there without any visible flesh wounds.
Which all made the perils of publicity seem sweet.
For the past 35 years, as a media training expert, I have run a media coaching, publicity training and marketing firm which specializes in promoting executives, authors, speakers, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and dot coms whose projects have a lot of passion and heart.
My clients include Amazon AI for Good, AMC Theatres, ACLU, Design Within Reach, Morgan Stanley, Chefs competing for The Next Iron Chef on the Food Network, iVillage, Random House, Simon & Schuster, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Barefoot Books, Bill Graham Presents, the North Face, PlanetRx, Yoga Journal, Citizen Cake, Graffiti, Title-Nine Sports, The Sedona Method, Speaking Circles and more. I also consulted with Pacific Bell Directory, The Yellow Pages/AT&T, in the Human Resources department throughout California for over nine years and won an award for consistent outstanding performance.
Before I was a media training expert I was the publicist for several best-selling books and have given a number of previously unknown clients much more than their fifteen minutes of fame.
